The owner of a beautiful open floor plan studio condo in Washington, DC wanted to use accent walls to differentiate spaces to create a cozier feeling. I suggested we give this modern loft space a rusticated feel of a Tuscan villa with a touch of urban bohemian. Aged looking tinted plaster to create dramatic defined spaces. For the “bedroom” area, I chose a relaxing oxide green
The dinning room and meditation area shared a wall, but were broken up by a fireplace and closet. It seemed best, and visually more appealing to treat these walls similarly. When you enter the condo, you can see both spaces at the same time. but when you are in each space, you can’t see the other. I choose a Raw Sienna and Ochre for these glazed walls to resemble aged plaster.
